Alan Glatt | Managing Partner
Prior to establishing Protocol Capital Management, Mr. Glatt was a Partner with Alpha Equity Management (“AEM”), an alternative investment firm specializing in quantitative statistical arbitrage and 130/30 strategies. In 2007, Trusco Capital Management, the $75 billion dollar asset management division of SunTrust Bank (“STI”) purchased a significant minority interest in AEM. Subsequently, Mr. Glatt sold his remaining interest in the firm.
Mr. Glatt has over 20 years of experience in financial services and began his career with Smith Barney Harris Upham, in the institutional sales area. He subsequently worked as a vice president in the Institutional and Individual Service Group at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (“DLJ”). In 1991 he joined Morgan Stanley in the Private Client Group and left as a principal of the firm in 2002. In late 2002, he joined Mariner Investment Group, as the President of Mariner Wealth Management (Mariner Wealth advisors). Mr. Glatt holds a B.A. in Business from the University of Maryland.
David Rhudy | Partner
David is an accomplished investment industry executive with a successful track record in business development and asset formation in the hedge fund space. He has built highly productive relationships with leading asset allocators including pension funds, consultants, sovereign wealth funds, endowments, funds of funds, family offices and high net worth clients. Furthermore, he consistently performed at an exceptional level, effectively growing assets under management and maintaining the highest client retention rates.
Prior to joining Protocol, Mr. Rhudy worked as the marketing director for Alphabet Partners, where he fostered global marketing reach while significantly increasing assets under management. He also served as Director of Strategic Planning at SB Schonfeld Fund Advisors, where he built a strong client base and developed investor presentations. David began his career at Salomon Smith Barney, where he worked as an account executive and Director of Investments. David holds a B.A. in Economics from Wittenberg University.
Melissa D. Greenberg | Director
Prior to joining Protocol Capital, Melissa was Vice President of the Capital Introduction division at Cantor Fitzgerald where she created and fostered relationships with hedge fund clients and investors. In addition, she consulted with emerging hedge fund managers on ways to effectively raise capital and organized Capital Introduction events with leading hedge fund managers and industry investors. Prior to Cantor Fitzgerald, she worked for Jefferies & Co. as an Associate and co-managed investor relationships for Jefferies' Prime Brokerage Platform.
Melissa graduated from Cornell University with a B.S. in Hotel Administration and started her career at Asset Alliance Corporation.
