Meet the Team
Managing Partner
Alan Glatt
Before founding Protocol Capital Management, Alan served as a Partner at Alpha Equity Management ("AEM"), a specialized alternative investment firm focused on quantitative statistical arbitrage and 130/30 strategies. AEM was successfully acquired in 2007 by Trusco Capital Management, the $75 billion asset management division of SunTrust Bank.
Alan has an extensive 30-year career in financial services, starting at Smith Barney Harris Upham in the institutional sales sector. He also held the position of Vice President in the Institutional and Individual Service Group at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette ("DLJ"). In 1991, he joined Morgan Stanley within the Private Client Group, ultimately departing as a Principal of the firm in 2002. Subsequently, Alan took on the role of President of Mariner Wealth Management at Mariner Investment Group in late 2002.
Alan earned his B.A. in Business from the Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland.

David Rhudy
David is an accomplished investment industry executive with a successful track record in business development and asset formation in the hedge fund space. He has built highly productive relationships with leading asset allocators including pension funds, consultants, sovereign wealth funds, endowments, funds of funds, family offices and high net worth clients. Furthermore, he consistently performed at an exceptional level, effectively growing assets under management and maintaining the highest client retention rates.
Prior to joining Protocol, David worked as the Marketing Director for Alphabet Partners, where he fostered global marketing reach while significantly increasing assets under management. He also served as Director of Strategic Planning at SB Schonfeld Fund Advisors, where he built a strong client base and developed investor presentations. David began his career at Salomon Smith Barney, where he worked as an Account Executive and Director of Investments.
David holds a B.A. in Economics from Wittenberg University.
